How I Connect with Hoteliers through Mentor Hotelier
How competence content attracts and inspires hoteliers.
In my daily role, I spend a lot of time in outbound sales, reaching out to new partners for our hotel group. It’s fast, direct, and sometimes effective. But when it comes to building something more meaningful—like our Mentor Hotelier community—I’ve found that inbound methods, though slower, are much more impactful in the long run.
Through Mentor Hotelier, my focus has shifted to connecting with fellow hoteliers in a way that’s authentic and valuable. Instead of reaching out with cold emails or messages, I prefer engaging in interviews with hotel professionals, where we dive deep into the challenges and solutions they’ve encountered in the industry. These conversations allow me to share not only my knowledge and tools but also create a platform for others to offer their experiences, strategies, and solutions.
But why do I create content that educates, inspires, and shows competence? Because I know that’s how we attract the right kind of people—hoteliers and managers in hospitality who are just as passionate about growth and collaboration as I am.
When it comes to creating content, I focus on three key types:
Value Content – This is about educating my audience. I share strategies, tools, and insights that help others solve their problems, whether it’s boosting bookings, improving guest experiences, or optimizing operations. This type of content builds trust because it shows that I care about helping others succeed, not just pushing my own agenda.
Story Content – This content is all about inspiration. By sharing my own journey, as well as the stories of other community members, I show that success in the hotel industry is achievable. It’s not just about the numbers but about real people overcoming real challenges. These stories resonate because they inspire others to take action and see what’s possible when you apply the right strategies and mindset.
Competence Content – This is where I prove that I don’t just talk the talk—I walk the walk. Whether it’s case studies, testimonials, or examples of how my methods have driven results for others, this type of content shows that I know what I’m doing. When hoteliers see that I’ve helped others like them achieve success, they trust me more. Competence content isn’t just about bragging; it’s about proving your expertise with real-world results.
Ultimately, the content I create for Mentor Hotelier helps me attract hoteliers and hospitality managers because it’s authentic and results-driven. When people see that I’m not just offering advice but providing actionable solutions that work, they’re more likely to join the community.
And that’s the key: showing value, inspiring through stories, and proving results. This combination helps build a community that thrives on collaboration and shared growth. It’s a long game, but it’s the one that truly makes a difference—not just for me but for everyone involved in Mentor Hotelier.
Looking forward to continuing this journey of growth and learning together through Mentor Hotelier. Let’s keep the conversation going!
